5K RACE

General Information

The 5K race is a fun run or walks for individuals as well as family and friends who wish to enjoy a morning of fitness and endurance doing a five-kilometer distance together.

  The first three (3) runners to cross the finish line will win Prizeswith special prizes for different category of social runners (check main prize list for prize categories).  All runners who finish within one hour and  half  will receive their finishers’ medal as long as they cross the finish line.

Like for all the other races, entry into the race can be through either of the following;

MARATHON MAP 5K

Route Map

The 5K race will take this route starting from the Black Star Square through to High Street, Liberation road, Starlets 91 Road, Lokko Road, Salem Street, Mission Street, Oxford Street, Awusal Atso Road, La Road, then back to the Black Star Square.

There will be 3 rest stops during the race; 1st Stop (Kingdom), 2nd Stop (Papaye Restaurant) and the 3rd Stop (Secondary Finish Water Stop).

Runner Guide

5K races are less stressful but it still demands some energy and endurance levels to run or walk.
Runners who wish to run the 5K race can consider the following;

  • Your health
  • Running shoes
  • Race vest or breathable running vest
  • Safety pins etc.
